Looking back on 2025 and looking ahead to 2026
At the start of each year, I always take a moment to reflect, refocus and gently project myself towards what's to come. 2025 was a big year. A year of transformation, movement and growth.
This blog is a little different: more than an article on organization or decluttering, it's a look back at the highlights of 2025, the people who crossed my path, the learnings. It also looks ahead to 2026, with a simple intention that I want to share with you.
I hope this reading will do you good, inspire you... and give you, too, the desire to choose a keyword, an intention, a direction for the new year. No need for long lists of resolutions. Just a common thread. An anchor point.
A year of growth at every level
In 2025, we have completed some forty projectsrepresenting over 1,650 hours of organization. It's an impressive thing to write in black and white. Behind these figures are people, stories and life transitions.
We've worked with our customers on a wide range of projects, including decluttering, space organization, home staging and moving assistance. We've worked on kitchens and pantries as well as walk-in closets, playrooms, corporate offices, children's and master bedrooms, not to mention garages and sheds.
Each project, large or small, had the same intention: to lighten, soothe and clarify.
Projects across Québec
Our services have been deployed all over Quebec - in Montreal, Montérégie, the Laurentians, Lanaudière... and even as far away as Quebec City!
But beyond the places and projects, it was above all the richness of the encounters that marked our year. We have had the privilege of helping many individuals and families, from different cultures and realities, including neurodivergent people and those from diverse backgrounds, to regain control of their living spaces - and to rediscover a lighter, more soothing everyday life.
Highlights of the year
Among the many highlights of the year, here are a few that stand out.
Maria's arrival
The year was also marked by the arrival of an invaluable organizing assistant to the team: Maria! A number of our customers have told me how touched they are by her gentleness, respect and attentiveness, qualities that are invaluable in our business. In just a few months, she became deeply integrated into StéZen, while at the same time experiencing a wonderful personal milestone: her pregnancy. The arrival of her daughter Antonella in January is a precious reminder that StéZen is above all a human adventure built on trust, gentleness... and lasting bonds.
A small family in transition
We accompanied them from the beginning to the end of their move: from preparing their house for sale (home staging), to decluttering, packing moving boxes, then unpacking, fitting out and completely organizing their new home. We were there every step of the way. A comprehensive, reassuring and human accompaniment, which perfectly illustrates StéZen's mission: to support our customers far beyond the simple task of tidying up.
An energetic and touching collaboration
With a couple of women, we de-cluttered and reorganized the whole house, garage included, in an incredible team spirit. We dubbed ourselves the "Dream Team" (no less!) and each day ended with high fives and a shared sense of pride. As for the garage, it was transformed into a veritable flea market, with many items in excellent condition finding new life. A joyful, efficient project, full of laughter and satisfaction.
A growing team
In 2025, the team was enriched by several new recruits: Maria, Marjorie, Marilyn, Marianne... and, Chloéwho, like me, breaks the chain of first names in M 😂.
They're all still in training and exploring their place in the team, but one thing's for sure: the energy weaving around StéZen warms my heart. Surrounding myself with people who share my values is a real privilege.
My New Year ritual
Rather than setting myself unrealistic resolutions, I have a habit that I cherish: select a keyword to guide my year.
In 2025, my word was GROWTH. And that's exactly what I experienced.
Business growth, project growth, personal growth.
I've learned to delegate, to structure, to welcome new energies.
I've seen StéZen become even more deeply rooted in its mission.
And for 2026, my word will be: ALIGNMENT.
2026: a year of alignment
For me, alignment is the next logical step after growth.
Aligning the team: strengthening our communication, collaboration and respective strengths.
Align projects: choose those that make the most sense, that really motivate us, and that enable us to create value.
Aligning my energy: staying true to what I want to offer, to what nourishes me, to what makes me tick, like contributing to the inner well-being of my fellow man by creating harmony in his outer environment.
I want every decision I make this year to resonate with who I am. I want every project, big or small, to be consistent with the values of StéZen.
