For many people, back-to-school means stress, headaches, shopping sprees, meal planning and so on...\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But who said this time of year had to be a burden?<\/span> To be well prepared for the start of the new school year, you need to feel comfortable in your spaces and in your organizational systems. It goes without saying that if your spaces are cluttered and your routine is not clearly established, it will be more difficult for you to be productive and find your way around.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are 3 spaces to organize to save time and gain peace of mind.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

1. ENTRANCE HALL <\/b>or <\/span>VESTIBULE<\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n

Although it is often a small space, the <\/span>entrance hall<\/strong> is a important location<\/strong> even crucial for organization of personal effects<\/strong> and the time management<\/strong> of any family. Since it's a place of transition for arrivals and departures, you need to use the right tools in order to <\/span>optimize<\/strong> this space!\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Here are a few handy tools to help you do just that:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Wall hooks:<\/b><\/h5>\n

Install them at a reachable height for your children<\/strong> and at a standard height for you and your guests. By using wall space, you'll save space additional storage<\/strong> and avoid <\/strong>so clutter <\/strong>your hall wardrobe.<\/strong> Also, by placing the hooks at the right height for your children, it will be easier for them to hang their things (school bag, coat, umbrella) and not leave them lying around on the floor.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Thanks to its sleek, compact design, you'll save space, save storage space and give your entrance hall a great look! Personally, I like the<\/span>Ikea<\/span><\/a> and Canadian Tire<\/a> because they're affordable and get the job done.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Storage baskets: <\/b><\/h5>\n

They are ideal for inserting toques<\/strong>the scarves<\/strong>the mittens<\/strong> and any other accessory<\/strong> that the family owns in pairs<\/strong> or large quantity<\/strong> that you don't want to lose in the back of your wardrobe.\u00a0<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

So make sure you group<\/strong> visit pairs together,<\/strong> put them in the same bin or storage basket<\/strong> and identify content<\/strong> if it's an opaque basket. This will make it easier for everyone to put items back in the right place after use. Children's baskets should be placed at a distance suitable height<\/strong> for their size, while the adult baskets can easily be placed on a shelf at the top of the wardrobe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
