In all sincerity, if there's one area of my life in which I'm not the most organized, it's in the holiday preparations<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Don't be mistaken, I LOVE<\/strong> the holiday season and I immediately fall back into childhood as Christmas Eve approaches. I count the sleeps in the weeks leading up to it, I'm always excited to give and receive gifts, I appreciate the memorable moments spent with family and it's important to me to enjoy quality time with the people I love.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

So my disorganization had nothing to do with a secret fraternity with the Christmas Grinch, and everything to do with a lack of experience as a hostess.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

To write my November blog post, I put a lot of effort into research to help me and you be better prepared for this busy time of year!<\/span> Here are a few tips from the Internets:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The effects of<\/span> lack of light<\/strong> caused by reduced hours of sunlight<\/strong> are felt as soon as theautumn arrives<\/strong>. According to some specialists <\/span>2 to 10 % des Canadiens<\/strong><\/span><\/a><\/span> are affected by seasonal depression<\/strong> and 18% from Canada<\/span>\u00a0are influenced by the typical lack of light in winter.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the beginning of the pandemic, I remember hearing on the radio that the fact ofput up our Christmas decorations <\/strong>from November<\/strong> could contribute to the reduced seasonal depression<\/strong>. And having tried it, it really does help! *\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/p>\n

Since the holiday season is often synonymous with festivities, joy and family togetherness, it's a good idea to get an early start.holiday atmosphere<\/strong> to awaken in us feelings of cheerfulness<\/strong> and hurry<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span>Decorate<\/strong> your home or workplace with lights<\/strong>and festive colors<\/strong> and greenery<\/strong> (even if it's synthetic), you'll have a visual reminder of the celebrations to come and make your surroundings much more warm<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you haven't already done so, plan to put up your Christmas decorations at the end of the week<\/strong>and if possible, <\/span>do it in family<\/strong>with friends<\/strong> and putting music<\/strong>. The process will be all the more enjoyable!<\/span><\/p>\n

* If you think suffer from seasonal depression<\/strong>consult a doctor<\/strong> to get a diagnosis<\/strong>. Simply placing your Christmas decorations is not a cure in itself.<\/span><\/p>\n
